Vine, it is defined as:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<style>\ndiv.a {\n\twidth:60%;text-align:center;color:DodgerBlue;margin: auto;\n    }\nhr{\n\twidth:70%;height:2px;border-width:0;color:blue;background-color:blue;margin: auto;\n\t}\n<\/style>\n\n<hr>\n\n<div class=\"a\">\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">\n    \t&#8220;ekklesia (\u1f10\u03ba\u03ba\u03bb\u03b7\u03c3\u03af\u03b1, 1577), from ek, \u201cout of,\u201d and klesis, \u201ca calling\u201d (kaleo, \u201cto call\u201d)&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<hr>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wish to look at the \u201cEkklesia\u201d\u2026 \u201cThe House Of God\u201d \u2013 (1 Timothy 3:15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the King James Version of the Bible it is interpreted as \u201cChurch\u201d. What comes to your mind when you consider that word? A building? A denomination? A head office? A local gathering of people who believe the Bible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, to get back to what the original intention was; to seek to find what should come to mind, we really do need to look more closely at the Greek word, and its meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This has nothing to do with a building, or a place. It has nothing to do with a certain time of the week, or day. But being \u201ccalled out\u201d does suggest a \u201cseparation from\u201d, and a \u201ccalling to\u201d. It suggests something a person is in, or not in\u2026 no in between. Have you been \u201cCALLED OUT\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its broader sense, it was used of a body of citizens \u201cgathered\u201d at Ephesus. Acts 19:32,39,41.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a look back it is applied to Israel in the wilderness. Acts 7:38.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has two applications to companies of Christians,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(a) to the whole company of the redeemed throughout the present era, the company of which Christ said, \u201cI will build My Church,\u201d Matt. 16:18, and which is further described as \u201cthe Church which is His Body,\u201d Eph. 1:22; 5:23,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(b) in the singular number (e.g., Matt. 18:17, RV marg., \u201ccongregation\u201d), to a company consisting of professed believers, e.g., Acts 20:28; 1 Cor. 1:2; Gal. 1:13; 1 Thess. 1:1; 2 Thess. 1:1; 1 Tim. 3:5, and in the plural, with reference to churches in a district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What sequence of events led to these folks being \u201cin the Ekklesia\u201d?
