After chapter 7 has exposed the believer&#8217;s inability to produce holiness through the efforts of the flesh, chapter 8 introduces the ministry of the Holy Spirit as God&#8217;s gracious provision and the divine answer to that struggle. The emphasis in these verses is not primarily on spiritual gifts or extraordinary experiences, but on the Spirit&#8217;s indwelling presence and His ongoing work in every believer.
