The Sixth Covenant – Between God and the House of David

Unconditional: (2 Sam 7:8-16)

As to Israel:

• They will have a permanent place to dwell
• They will not be afflicted by the wicked

As to David:

• He is to have a house (a seed, or posterity)
• His seed shall be established
• His seed shall build a house for the name of The Lord
• His seed would be chastised but not rejected for sin… as a son, not a servant
• His house, throne, and kingdom to be established forever
